What Is the Australia ImmiAccount Photo Resizer?

ImmiAccount visa applications accept a digital JPEG between 70 KB and 3.5 MB, with 1200 x 1600 pixels as the preferred resolution. This preset creates that frame.

How to Use It

  1. Open the tool and pick the Australia ImmiAccount photo preset.
  2. Add a colour photo taken against a plain light background.
  3. Adjust the crop around the head and upper shoulders.
  4. Check that the output is JPEG and 70 KB to 3.5 MB.
  5. Save the file and upload it to Department of Home Affairs.

Limitations

The visa form may crop or resize the upload again. Keep a little space around the head so the crop does not cut it off.

Good to Know

ImmiAccount may crop or resize the image after upload. Keep the full head and shoulders inside the frame so a second crop does not remove the top of the head.

Before You Upload

  • Open the official Department of Home Affairs page and compare the current rule with the preset.
  • Confirm the file is JPEG and inside the 70 KB to 3.5 MB range.
  • Check the face is centred, the background is plain and no hair covers the eyes.
  • Keep a copy of the finished file in case the portal asks for it again.
