What Is the UKVI Standard Photo Resizer?
UKVI uses one face-photo standard across visa, ETA and permission routes: 600 x 750 pixels minimum, JPEG, 50 KB to 6 MB. This preset gives you that exact frame.
Requirements Used by This Tool
- Frame: 600 x 750 px
- File size: 50 KB to 6 MB
- Format: JPEG
- Authority: UK Visas and Immigration
Source: UK Visas and Immigration photo requirements.
How to Use It
- Choose the UKVI standard photo preset.
- Upload a recent colour photo with a plain background.
- Crop so the face is centred and the shoulders are visible.
- Run the resize and check the KB value.
- Download the file and upload it to the official form.
Why It Helps
Most rejected uploads fail because the file is too large, the frame is the wrong shape, or the format is not accepted. This tool removes those three problems in one pass.
Photo Notes
Use a well-lit colour photo with a plain background and a neutral expression.
Limitations
The photo must be unaltered. Do not add filters, text or beauty effects.
Good to Know
UKVI uses one face-photo standard across several routes. The main difference is the file ceiling, which is 6 MB for visa and ETA forms and 10 MB for passports. The photo must also be in colour, unaltered and not mirrored.
Before You Upload
- Open the official UK Visas and Immigration page and compare the current rule with the preset.
- Confirm the file is JPEG and inside the 50 KB to 6 MB range.
- Check the face is centred, the background is plain and no hair covers the eyes.
- Keep a copy of the finished file in case the portal asks for it again.
