Arbitrum DAO earns $6.2 million in first half of 2026 as Robinhood Chain boosts revenue

Arbitrum DAO posts $6.19 million in first-half income

Arbitrum DAO, the decentralized organization behind the Arbitrum blockchain network, earned $6.19 million in the first half of 2026, according to an unaudited report released by the Arbitrum Foundation. The income came from four sources: transaction fees on Arbitrum One, Timeboost auctions for priority network access, licensing fees from chains using Arbitrum technology, and returns from managing its treasury.

The report also notes that gross margins for protocol revenue exceeded 97%, up from over 90% in 2025. At the end of June, the DAO held $125 million in non-ARB treasury assets.

Key numbers from the report

  • 478 million transactions processed in the first half of 2026, about 18% of Arbitrum’s lifetime total of 2.7 billion.
  • Average monthly stablecoin transfer volume exceeded $70 billion.
  • Stablecoin holders grew by 40% to 10.5 million.
  • Arbitrum led in tokenized real-world asset deployments, with over 2,000 assets.

Robinhood Chain drives new revenue

Robinhood Chain, which uses Arbitrum’s technology, launched on mainnet on July 1, 2026. In its first month, licensing fees from the chain contributed $360,000, accounting for 35% of Arbitrum DAO’s income for July. The Expansion Program requires chains using Arbitrum’s technology but settling outside Arbitrum One or Arbitrum Nova to return 10% of their net protocol revenue to the Arbitrum ecosystem.

On September 1, users paid a record $3.75 million in fees on Robinhood Chain, surpassing Ethereum mainnet and Base for that day. The chain also saw record decentralized exchange volume of over $1.5 billion on September 2, with total value locked at just over $750 million.

What the Arbitrum Foundation says

Brendan Ma, Head of Investment Strategy at the Arbitrum Foundation, stated that the first half of 2026 shows the Arbitrum ecosystem’s financial growth, driven by the convergence of traditional and onchain finance. He added that, based on July’s figures, total income for the third quarter is on track to exceed the second quarter by more than 40%.
