What analysts said about the election effect
James Butterfill of CoinShares said Bitcoin had largely reflected the possibility of a Democratic sweep before the election. He said this left room for a relief rally as uncertainty eased. He also warned against linking too much of Bitcoin's performance to the election result.
CK Zheng of ZX Squared Capital pointed to other factors. He named monetary liquidity, institutional investment flows, and broader investor appetite for risk as more immediate drivers of Bitcoin's price.
Zheng also said spot Bitcoin ETFs and corporate treasury holdings could broaden demand. He added that they could also expose Bitcoin to selling pressure from institutions.
What is confirmed and what is opinion
The flow figures above are reported by SoSoValue and Farside Investors. The election impact is not confirmed as a cause. Butterfill and Zheng offered differing views on what drove Bitcoin.
