US crypto funds lose $549 million in one week
US spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $549 million in net outflows last week, according to Cointelegraph. An ETF is a fund that trades on a stock exchange, and a spot crypto ETF holds the actual coin rather than a contract tied to its price.
Bitcoin ETFs saw about $229 million in weekly net outflows, while Ether funds lost more, at $320 million. The figures come from SoSoValue data cited by Cointelegraph.
The week marked a second straight week of withdrawals for Bitcoin ETFs and a third for Ether funds. Outflows slowed compared with the week before, when the two groups together recorded $1.22 billion in net outflows.
