Bitcoin ETFs pull $261M as XRP funds hold steady
Bitcoin ETFs face fresh outflows as price drops below $82,000
US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, which let investors trade Bitcoin on traditional stock exchanges without holding the asset directly, recorded about $262 million in outflows on Wednesday. That reversed $176 million in inflows seen the day before, according to SoSoValue data.
The withdrawals bring this week’s net outflows for Bitcoin ETFs to $151 million through Wednesday. Investors had already pulled $681 million during the previous week.
The outflows came as Bitcoin fell below $82,000 following a US inflation report on Wednesday. The cryptocurrency traded around $80,741 at the time of publication, down 3.2% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data.

What is confirmed
The figures come from SoSoValue, which tracks ETF flow data. Bitcoin’s price and percentage change are from CoinGecko. All flow numbers are reported as of Wednesday, October 15, 2026.
Why this matters
ETF outflows often signal that investors are moving money out of crypto-exposed products, which can add downward pressure on prices. The fact that XRP ETFs were the only category with positive flows suggests diverging investor sentiment across different cryptocurrencies.
