Crypto Launchpad Printr Shuts Down After Failing to Secure Funding
Printr Halts Operations and Cancels Token Launch
Printr, a crypto launchpad that allowed users to deploy tokens across multiple blockchains from one platform, announced it will shut down by August 31. The company canceled its planned token launch and airdrop, which it had previously promised to users.
A launchpad is a platform that helps new crypto projects launch their tokens and raise funds. Printr supported eight different blockchains, making it one of the few launchpads that worked across multiple networks rather than just one.
Why Printr Decided to Close
The Printr team stated on X (formerly Twitter) that it explored all options to stay operational but could not secure enough funding or reach a large enough audience. The team wrote, "Without the capital or the distribution backing that today's market requires, Printr is no longer sustainable."
The company raised $4.5 million in October 2025 from investors including Axelar, Sui Foundation, and Mantle EcoFund. Despite this, its revenue dropped sharply after a strong start.
Revenue Peaked in April, Then Collapsed
Printr earned $574,468 in fees since launching on October 17, 2025. However, 84% of that total—$480,790—came in April 2026 alone. On April 22, 2026, the platform hit a single-day high of $73,145 in fees. After that, revenue fell quickly:
- May 2026: $42,983
- June 2026: $10,491
- July 2026: $1,178
- August 2026 (so far): $173
Over the last 30 days, Printr earned just $441 in fees, down from $1,980 in the previous 30-day period.
What Happens to Users’ Funds
Starting August 18, Printr began unstaking user positions and returning assets to the wallets they came from. Staking is when users lock up their crypto to support a network and earn rewards. Printr said all staked assets and accrued staking fees would be sent back automatically.
Users who do not receive their assets by August 20 were told to contact the team on Discord before August 31. The Printr website, app.printr.money, will go offline after that date, and no new tokens can be launched. However, tokens already deployed through Printr will remain active on their respective blockchains.
Attempt to Raise Funds from Users Failed
In April 2026, Printr tried to raise additional funds through a community sale of its PRINT token. The sale was paused on April 30, and all contributions were refunded in USDC, a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar. The token was never launched.
What This Means for the Crypto Launchpad Market
Printr’s shutdown comes as the launchpad market has become more concentrated. Most activity is now happening on platforms like pump.fun on Solana and a few others on Robinhood Chain. Printr had tried to stand out by supporting multiple blockchains, but it could not compete without enough funding or user adoption.
