Selection Process — CSIR NGRI Technician 2026
The selection for these technical posts involves multiple stages to ensure the best candidates are chosen:
- Step 1: Screening: Your application will be checked for eligibility.
- Step 2: Trade Test: A practical test based on your trade. You just need to pass this (Qualifying nature).
- Step 3: Written Exam: You must appear for three papers (Paper-I, II, and III).
- Step 4: Verification: Checking your original documents.
- Step 5: Medical Exam: A standard health checkup.
Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme
The written exam consists of 150 objective questions with a total time of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- Paper-I (60 Mins): Mental Ability Test (50 Qs, 100 Marks). No negative marking.
- Paper-II (30 Mins): General Awareness & English (50 Qs, 150 Marks). 1 mark deducted for every wrong answer.
- Paper-III (60 Mins): Trade Subject (50 Qs, 150 Marks). 1 mark deducted for every wrong answer.
Your final selection will depend only on the marks you score in Paper-II and Paper-III.
