Selection Process — Delhi High Court SPA & PA Recruitment 2026
The recruitment consists of four stages. You must qualify each stage to proceed.
- Stage-I: English Typing Test (Qualifying)
Duration: 10 minutes. Speed: Minimum 40 w.p.m. Permissible mistakes: up to 3% of total words typed. - Stage-II: English Shorthand Tests
• For SPA: 110 w.p.m. speed (550 words dictated in 5 minutes; 45 minutes for transcription). Max permissible mistakes: 27.5. Marks: 120.
• For PA: 100 w.p.m. speed (500 words dictated in 5 minutes; 45 minutes for transcription). Max permissible mistakes: 25. Marks: 110. - Stage-III: Main (Descriptive) Examination
Marks: 100. Duration: 120 minutes. Includes Essay (40), Letter Writing (15), Grammar & Comprehension (25), Translation Hindi to English (10), and English to Hindi (10).
• Qualifying marks: 50% for General (SPA), 45% for Reserved categories. - Stage-IV: Interview
Marks: 15. No minimum qualifying marks. Final merit is prepared by combining Stage-II, Stage-III, and Stage-IV scores.
Note: No exemption from typing or shorthand tests is granted to any candidate, including PwBD candidates. No scribe or compensatory time is allowed.

- Upload your scanned passport-size photograph (75% face coverage, 100–200 KB JPEG), capture a live photo via webcam/mobile, upload your left-hand thumb impression (50–200 KB), and signature (50–150 KB).
- Pay the application fee online using UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
- Submit the form on or before 5 October 2026 (11:00 PM) and print the Confirmation Page for your records.
