Dogecoin the only loss as Japan’s Remixpoint sells altcoins for bitcoin
Japan-listed company Remixpoint sold its holdings of ether, solana, XRP, and dogecoin on September 1, making a net gain of about $742,000. Dogecoin was the only cryptocurrency sold at a loss, roughly $21,000 below its fiscal-year opening value.
Gains on other altcoins
Ether brought in a $379,000 gain, solana $311,000, and XRP about $72,000. The company sold 2.8 million dogecoin for approximately $234,000.
Remixpoint said it decided to sell these four cryptocurrencies, often called altcoins, after reviewing market conditions and their risk-return profiles. It will now focus its crypto holdings solely on bitcoin.
Bitcoin remains the only holding
The company still owns about 1,506 bitcoin, worth over $115 million at the time of reporting. This makes bitcoin its only remaining cryptocurrency.
Dogecoin is widely traded in Japan, with official reference prices published by the Japan Virtual and Crypto Assets Exchange Association alongside major cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and ether.
