Who Can Apply — JKSSB Class 4 MTS 2026
You must be a permanent resident / Domicile holder of Jammu & Kashmir. A valid Domicile Certificate issued on or before the cutoff date is mandatory.
You also need to meet the age and education requirements listed above. If you have already completed graduation or post-graduation, you cannot apply, as the maximum qualifying education is 10+2.
Selection Process — JKSSB Class 4 MTS 2026
The selection is based on a written examination conducted as objective-type multiple-choice questions (OMR/CBT).
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
The final merit is calculated using a composite score — written exam marks plus category-based weightage:
- UT Cadre (100 Marks): 85 Marks (Written) + 5 Marks (No family in Govt service) + 5 Marks (Widows/Divorced/Orphan Girls) + 5 Marks (Casual Workers with 5+ years service)
- Divisional Cadre (100 Marks): 80 Marks (Written) + 5 Marks (Home Division) + 5 Marks (No Govt job) + 5 Marks (Widows/Orphans) + 5 Marks (Casual Workers)
- District Cadre (100 Marks): 75 Marks (Written) + 10 Marks (Home District) + 5 Marks (No Govt job) + 5 Marks (Widows/Orphans) + 5 Marks (Casual Workers)
After the written exam, candidates who qualify will face a Document Verification round before final appointment.
