OpenSea expands to Solana NFTs with OS2 marketplace update

OpenSea has added support for Solana NFTs on its OS2 platform, letting users browse, buy, and sell these digital collectibles. The update, launched on August 31, expands OpenSea’s Solana offerings beyond fungible tokens, which are interchangeable assets like cryptocurrencies.

Collections such as Mad Lads, Claynosaurz, Collector Crypt, and Phygitals are available at launch. OpenSea says users can now trade Solana NFTs without switching wallets or using other marketplaces.

Solana NFTs join 25+ blockchains on OpenSea

OpenSea’s OS2 platform already supported fungible-token trading across 19 blockchains, including Solana, since its May 2025 release. The new update adds NFT trading for Solana, filling a gap in the platform’s support for the network.

The marketplace previously introduced a beta for Solana in April 2022 but did not specify which collections or trading features were included at that time.

Competing with Solana-focused marketplaces

OpenSea’s move increases competition with existing Solana NFT marketplaces like Magic Eden and Tensor. These platforms already list popular collections such as Mad Lads and Claynosaurz. However, the article does not provide direct volume comparisons between these marketplaces.
