REX launches 2x leveraged ETF tied to Bitcoin treasury firm Strive
REX and Tuttle launch 2x leveraged ETF on Strive shares
REX Shares and Tuttle Capital Management have launched a leveraged exchange-traded fund (ETF) — an investment fund that trades on a stock exchange like a regular share — that aims to deliver twice the daily price moves of Strive, a publicly traded Bitcoin treasury company and asset manager.
The T-REX 2X Long ASST Daily Target ETF began trading Friday under the ticker ASSX on Cboe. It seeks 200% of Strive's daily share-price performance before fees and expenses, according to a launch announcement cited by Cointelegraph.
Key numbers
- ASSX trades on Cboe and began trading Friday, September 19, 2026.
- The fund targets 200% of Strive's daily share-price return, before fees and expenses.
- Leverage resets daily, so returns over more than one trading day can differ significantly from twice Strive's performance.
- REX and Tuttle also offer 2x ETFs tied to Strategy, BitMine, Cipher Mining, Circle and SharpLink.
How ASSX differs from spot Bitcoin ETFs
ASSX does not hold Bitcoin and does not try to track Bitcoin's price. Instead, it provides leveraged exposure to Strive's shares. This makes it a bet on the company's stock, amplified by daily leverage, rather than a direct bet on Bitcoin itself.
The daily reset is the key mechanic: because leverage is recalculated each trading day, longer-term results can drift from a simple doubling of Strive's gains or losses over the same period.
Strive's Bitcoin position and share price
Strive currently holds 25,000 Bitcoin, making it the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder, according to BitcoinTreasuries.NET data cited by Cointelegraph. The company financed its latest purchase of 469 BTC through sales of SATA, its perpetual preferred stock.
Strive shares rose 6.4% on Friday to close at $30.09, slightly above the $29.40 average 12-month price target among analysts tracked by S&P Global. That share-price and holdings data is reported by third-party sources, not confirmed by the companies.
Why this matters
The launch shows financial firms are building increasingly specific leveraged products around crypto-linked companies. ASSX lets traders take a doubled daily position on a Bitcoin treasury firm through a standard brokerage account — but it also means daily moves in Strive's stock are amplified, and the structure does not behave like holding Bitcoin or a spot Bitcoin ETF.
