Florida Athletics announces multi-year Ripple deal

The University of Florida Athletics Department has entered into a multi-year partnership with Ripple. The agreement will bring XRP branding to the program starting with the 2026 football season.

Under the terms of the deal, the XRP logo will be displayed on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The cryptocurrency brand will also appear across the university's digital platforms and event signage.

University leadership response

Part of Ripple's broader college sports strategy

The Florida deal follows an announcement earlier this summer in which Ripple became the sports sponsor for the Kansas Jayhawks. That agreement includes an XRP patch on jerseys, marking the first time a cryptocurrency has appeared on the uniforms of a major collegiate sports program. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is a Kansas alum.

Florida competes in the Southeastern Conference and fields 21 teams with more than 500 student-athletes. The school has won 49 national championships across 16 sports. Its football team has claimed national titles in 1996, 2006, and 2008, and remains one of the most popular programs in the NCAA.

Ripple was founded in 2012 and provides blockchain-based financial services, including payments, custody, prime brokerage, and treasury management. XRP is the native cryptocurrency of the XRP Ledger. The company also offers a stablecoin called RLUSD.
