Robinhood Chain DEX volume hits $1.49 billion as Pons dominates launchpad fees

Robinhood Chain sees record DEX trading

Robinhood Chain processed $1.49 billion in decentralized exchange (DEX) trading over the past 24 hours, placing it second among all blockchain networks, behind only Solana. A DEX is a platform for trading cryptocurrencies directly without a central authority.

The chain, built by Robinhood, now leads Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Base in DEX volume. Its growth comes as its memecoin launchpad, Pons, captures nearly 70% of all launchpad fees across crypto.

Key numbers

  • Robinhood Chain DEX volume: $1.49 billion in 24 hours, up 517.4% over 30 days.
  • Pons launchpad fees: $4.89 million on Aug. 31, 63.9% of all launchpad fees that day.
  • Uniswap V4 on Robinhood Chain: $720.3 million in 24-hour volume, 51% of all Uniswap V4 trading.
  • Total value locked on Robinhood Chain: $738.7 million.

Pons outpaces pump.fun

Pons, a launchpad exclusive to Robinhood Chain, earned more in daily fees than Solana’s pump.fun every day since Aug. 29. On Aug. 31, Pons collected $4.89 million in fees, while pump.fun earned $1.72 million. Together, launchpads on Robinhood Chain took about 70% of all launchpad fees across crypto.

Pons introduced its V2 contracts on Aug. 3, adding features like launch fees, swap fees, and a tax on early trades to discourage rapid buying and selling, known as sniping.

Uniswap V4 finds a home on Robinhood Chain

Robinhood Chain now hosts the largest share of Uniswap V4 trading, with $720.3 million in 24-hour volume. This accounts for 51% of all Uniswap V4 activity across all chains. Combined with Uniswap V3, the two versions handle 81% of the chain’s total DEX volume.

Robinhood earns from gas, not app fees

Robinhood does not profit directly from application fees on its chain. Instead, it earns from transaction gas fees, which totaled $2.13 million over 24 hours. After costs and fees shared with Arbitrum, the chain’s net revenue was $1.92 million.

Applications on the chain generated $14.3 million in fees and kept $3 million in revenue over the same period, surpassing Ethereum in daily app revenue since Aug. 29.

From stock tokens to memecoins

Robinhood Chain launched on July 1 with a focus on tokenized securities, which are digital representations of real-world assets like stocks. However, memecoin trading quickly became a major use case. The chain now combines both, with launch platforms pairing memecoins with tokenized equities.
