What Education You Need

Popular Trades with Slot Counts

Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Diesel Mechanic and COPA carry the largest numbers. A few of the bigger groups are listed here.

Category-wise break-up (UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS), PwBD slots (VI, HI, LD, MD) and Ex-Servicemen slots are printed trade by trade in the notification. The PDF places unit-wise totals at 2,234 while the text says 2008 slots, and the notice does not explain the gap. Always treat the official PDF as final. Unfilled SC or ST slots may go to the other of the two categories, and if still empty, to non-SC/ST candidates. Please note that heads of PwBD and Ex-SM are included in the main totals, not added on top.

Selection Process — NWR Act Apprentice 2026

There is no written exam and no interview for this engagement. RRC Jaipur prepares a merit list using your Matriculation marks and your ITI marks. Higher marks put you higher on the list. Shortlisted names are then called for Document Verification and a Medical Examination as per the notification. Trade-wise and unit-wise cut-offs move with the applicant pool.

How to Apply — NWR Act Apprentice Online Form 2026

Applications are accepted on the RRC Jaipur portal only. Follow the order below to avoid mistakes.

1. Open rrcjaipur.in and click the Act Apprentice 2026 application link.
2. Register with a working mobile number and email ID.
3. Keep your Class 10 marksheet and ITI certificate handy — you will type marks and roll details.

5. Upload a scanned photo and signature. Resize them first with our Railway Photo and Signature Resizer.
6. Fill caste, EWS, PwBD or Ex-Servicemen details only if they apply to you, and attach the correct annexure.
7. Preview every field, submit, and download the confirmation page.
8. Take a printout and note the registration number — you will need it later.

Before you fill the form, compare similar openings on our RRB Technician page so you understand how Railway merit lists usually work.

Who Should Apply — RRC NWR Apprentice 2026

If you finished ITI in a notified trade and scored 50% or more in Class 10, this is a strong entry point into Railway workshops. Youth from Rajasthan — Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur belts — get workshops close to home. Before applying, keep your certificates scanned and ready, and use our SSC Photo and Signature Resizer if you are also applying for other central government posts this season. Double-check the trade name; it must match your National Trade Certificate exactly.
