Selection Process

SSC CGL 2026 Selection Process has two tiers:

Tier-I (Computer Based) — 100 questions, 200 marks, 60 mins. Sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension. Negative marking: 0.50 per wrong answer.
Tier-II (Computer Based) — Three papers: Paper I (Compulsory for all) — Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, English, General Awareness; Paper II (For AAO/AAO posts) — Statistics; Paper III (For AAO) — General Studies (Finance & Economics). Negative marking: 1 mark per wrong answer in Paper I, 0.5 in Paper II/III.
Document Verification — After Tier-II, shortlisted candidates called for DV.
Final Merit — Based on Tier-I + Tier-II (Paper I) scores. Paper II/III are qualifying for specific posts.

How to Apply

Visit ssc.gov.in and click "Apply" → "CGL Examination 2026".
Register using One-Time Registration (OTR) if not done already. Use our SSC Photo Resizer to prepare photo/signature as per specs (photo: 20-50 KB, 3.5x4.5 cm; sign: 10-20 KB, 3.5x1.5 cm).
Login with Registration ID and password. Fill CGL 2026 application form — personal details, education, post preferences, exam center.
Upload scanned photo, signature, and thumb impression.
Pay fee online (net banking/card/UPI) or generate SBI challan.
Submit form, download confirmation page. Use SSC Signature Resizer if signature needs resizing.
Save application number for future reference.
