PDF Page Splitter Online: The Best Tools for Splitting PDF Pages
This PDF page splitter lets you choose pages from one or more PDFs and produce a new document. You can keep all pages from a file, select individual pages, or define a range, then download one PDF per input file or merge the selections into a single PDF.
Page counts are read in your browser with pdf.js. The actual split or merge runs on the server through a PDF service. Each uploaded file can be up to 50 MB, and the page selection is sent with the request.
The tool works with the pages you select, not with every page automatically. If you need one file per page, this interface does not do that; it creates one PDF per input card, or one merged PDF when the merge option is enabled.

FAQ
How page selection works
Each uploaded PDF gets its own card. By default, Use all pages from this file is checked. Uncheck it to reveal a page selector where you can add individual page numbers, type a single page, or enter a start and end range.
The selector is a multi-select with removable chips. You can combine individual pages and ranges in the same card. The server expands the ranges, removes duplicates and sorts the requested pages in ascending order before building the output.
The order in which you add pages is not preserved. If you need a specific sequence, this tool will not produce it. You would need a PDF editor that supports page reordering after the split.
Split mode versus merge mode
With Merge selected pages from all files into one PDF unchecked, the tool creates one output PDF for each input card. That output contains the pages selected from that file. This is the usual way to extract a chapter, a form or a few pages from a larger document.
When the merge toggle is checked, all selected pages from all input files are combined into a single PDF. The files are processed in the order of the cards, but the pages inside each file are still sorted ascending. Drag the card handle to change the file order before processing.
The tool does not create a separate PDF for every page. If you select ten pages from one file, you get one PDF containing those ten pages, not ten one-page files.
File limits and duplicate names
Each PDF may be up to 50 MB. The upload accepts PDF files only. The interface does not enforce a total batch size, but very large or numerous files still consume server memory and processing time.
Two input files with the same original filename are rejected by the server, and the client also tries to skip an exact duplicate name. Rename one of the files before uploading if you need both.
The output filename is generated randomly by the server; it is not based on the original document name. Rename the download after saving if you need a meaningful archive name.
Processing and privacy
The browser reads the page count to build the selection controls. The PDFs are then uploaded to the server for the split or merge. The response contains direct download URLs for the generated files.
Because the files leave your device, do not upload confidential contracts, identity documents or client records unless you are comfortable with the transfer. The page does not display a retention promise beyond the processing workflow.
If a PDF is encrypted, damaged or uses an unusual structure, extraction may fail. The interface can show a generic error rather than a detailed reason. Try opening the file in a PDF reader, removing password protection, or repairing it before uploading again.
Browser dependencies
The page uses pdf.js from a CDN to count pages, TomSelect for the page selector, and Sortable for card reordering. If a CDN request is blocked, the interface may not initialise correctly even though the server endpoint is available.
A strict content blocker, an offline connection or a corporate proxy can prevent those scripts from loading. If the page appears but the upload or page count does not work, check the browser console and try a normal network connection.
The actual PDF generation does not depend on the browser canvas. It runs in the server-side PDF service, so the output quality is not limited by the device's screen or memory.
Practical workflows
To extract a signed page from a long agreement, upload the PDF, uncheck Use all pages, select the page number, and process without merging. Download the single-page PDF and verify that the signature and attachments are intact.
To combine selected pages from several reports, upload each file, choose the relevant ranges, enable the merge option, and drag the cards into the desired file order. The pages inside each card are sorted ascending, so check the final document before sending it.
To reduce a large packet, select only the pages that the recipient needs. The output is rebuilt from the selected pages rather than copied as a byte-for-byte slice, so always inspect links, form fields and annotations in the result.
