CSIR NET photo and signature files
CSIR NET applications are processed through the NTA portal, and the uploaded photo follows the candidate through the admit card and scorecard. This page applies the stored CSIR NET shapes, converts both files to JPEG and compresses them toward the stored byte windows.
The stored list is limited to one photo and one signature. If your subject or fellowship category has an extra upload requirement, handle it separately from this page.

These are stored values. The current CSIR NET information bulletin is the authority; confirm the shape and byte window before uploading. The presets have not been changed.
Photo quality for the admit card
Use a recent colour photo with a plain light background. Face the camera, keep your eyes open and avoid hats or filters. A photo that is too dark or heavily compressed may be difficult to recognise at the exam centre even when the dimensions are correct.
Signature quality
Sign on white paper with a dark pen and photograph it straight on. Crop around the strokes without cutting the first or last letter. The 10–50 KB window is narrow, so a faint pencil signature can disappear during compression.

Fellowship and lectureship candidates
CSIR NET candidates may apply for a research fellowship, lectureship or both, but the photo and signature upload is shared. Prepare one clean set and reuse it only within the same application cycle. Do not add subject codes or text to the image; the portal collects those separately. Keep the originals until the application is accepted.
Keep a clean copy
Save the processed photo and signature in a folder with the original images. If the portal asks for a replacement, you can produce a new file without another photo session.
