AILET photo and signature

AILET is the law entrance examination conducted by National Law University Delhi. The application asks for a photo and signature, and the stored AILET record allows a much larger file than many other entrance tests.

This page applies the stored AILET shapes and byte windows, converts both files to JPEG and downloads them for the application. It does not submit the form.

Stored AILET values

These are stored values. The current AILET admission instructions are the authority; confirm the shape and limits before uploading. The presets have not been changed.

Why the window is wide

The stored ceiling is about 1 MB, which leaves room for a high-quality photo. A large allowance is not a reason to upload a huge file. A moderate JPEG is easier to inspect and faster to upload. Keep the file well below the ceiling unless the portal asks for more.

Preparing the photo and signature

Use a recent colour photo on a plain light background, with the face centred and eyes open. For the signature, sign on white paper with dark ink and crop inside the 6×3 cm box. Check that the first and last strokes are not cut off.

Common AILET upload mistakes

The wide 1 MB window makes it easy to upload a photo that is technically allowed but unnecessarily large. Another common mistake is cropping the signature inside the 6×3 cm box so tightly that the first stroke disappears. Check the format, dimensions and byte count after download.

Before you submit

Open both files at full size and confirm the face and signature are readable. Keep the originals until the application is accepted, because a rejected upload may need a fresh crop rather than a repeat of the same file.
