KPSC photo and signature
The Karnataka Public Service Commission advertises state government posts through its own application system. The photo rule can vary with the post, and the stored KPSC record keeps more than one photo shape for that reason.
This page applies the stored KPSC preset you select and downloads JPEG files. It does not submit the application.
Stored KPSC values
| Upload | Stored shapes | Byte window | Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Photo | 200×230 px at 200 or 96 DPI; 413×531 px at 96 DPI | 20–50 KB for 200×230; 20–100 KB for 413×531 | JPEG |
| Signature | 140×60 px | 10–20 KB | JPEG |
These are stored values. The KPSC notification for your post is the authority; confirm which photo shape and limits apply. The presets have not been changed.
Choosing the photo variant
Read the photo clause in your notification. If it names 200×230 px, use that preset. If it names 413×531 px, use the larger one. Do not assume the larger file is always accepted, because its byte window is different.
Photo and signature workflow
Use a recent colour photo on a plain background, with the face centred and eyes open. For the signature, sign on white paper with dark ink and crop around the strokes. Check the downloaded dimensions and byte count before uploading.

Choosing between the two photo variants
The 200×230 px and 413×531 px presets are not interchangeable. The larger shape has a wider byte window. Read the photo clause in your KPSC notification and choose the shape it names.
Signature check
The 140×60 px signature window is small. Sign with dark ink, crop around the strokes and check the result at full size before uploading.
Check the output
Confirm whether you used the 200×230 or 413×531 photo preset before uploading. A file from the wrong variant can look correct on screen.
