Yantrik: the Coast Guard's technical entry

Yantrik is the technical rating of the Indian Coast Guard, filled through the Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test (CGEPT) alongside the Navik posts. Applicants need an engineering diploma on top of their schooling, and the accepted branches and diplomas are fixed by each batch's notice. Check yours on joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in, the recruitment site where CGEPT notices and admit cards appear.

Diploma holders usually keep plenty of scans from college admissions. Those older files are rarely the right shape for this form, which is why a fresh resize helps.

Files needed for a Yantrik application

  • Photograph: 413 pixels wide by 531 pixels tall, colour, face clearly visible.
  • Signature: 413 pixels wide by 200 pixels tall, signed on plain white paper.

These numbers come from the Indian Coast Guard preset stored in this tool, not from a notice we could open and check. The CGEPT notice for your batch is the authority; where it differs, export against the notice.

Stored preset for Yantrik

UploadOutput sizeFormatFile weightMin DPI
Photograph413 x 531 pxJPEG50 KB to 150 KB96
Signature413 x 200 pxJPEG50 KB to 150 KB96

Yantrik and Navik candidates share one Coast Guard preset, so these values match the Navik page. The label on the photo row mentions 3.5x2.5cm, while the file the tool writes measures 413 x 531 pixels.

Steps on this page

  1. Pick Photo first; the Coast Guard preset is locked in already.
  2. Load your image with Browse file. JPG, PNG and WebP sources are accepted, and the output is always JPEG.
  3. Move the crop box until head and shoulders fill it, then hit Apply crop. A signature should be cropped tight with little white margin.
  4. Skip caption, since a name-and-date strip is not part of this preset.
  5. Press Download processed image, then Start over and repeat with Signature.

Yantrik-specific tips

Keep the file names simple before uploading; this preset sets no naming rule. Because both files must weigh at least 50 KB, a signature scanned on a flatbed at low resolution may be raised in weight by the tool to clear that floor; that is expected. Do not reuse a diploma-era photo if your appearance has changed since college.

FAQ

Short answers for the questions users ask before trusting the result.

A 413 x 531 pixel JPEG weighing 50 KB to 150 KB, with a minimum of 96 DPI. Check your batch's CGEPT notice, which is the authority.

413 x 200 pixels, saved as JPEG, at no less than 50 KB and no more than 150 KB.

Not in this tool. Both posts use the single Indian Coast Guard preset, so the photo and signature values are identical.

The stored preset does not ask for a caption, so you can skip that step unless your notice says otherwise.
