Depop Fee Calculator 2025
This Depop fee calculator estimates the selling, processing and boosted-listing charges for a sale. Choose your seller location, enter the item price, shipping and any tax or VAT, and see the total fees and estimated net profit.
The stored rates differ by region. UK and US sales use no selling fee but a processing charge; Australia, the EU and other locations use a 10 percent selling fee plus processing. Boosted listings add 8 or 10 percent of the item price depending on the region.
The result is an estimate. Depop can change its fees, and shipping, tax, refunds and currency conversion can alter the real payout. Confirm the final numbers in the app before pricing an item.

The regional fee model
| Seller location | Selling fee | Processing | Boost |
|---|---|---|---|
| UK | 0% | 2.9% + 0.30 | 8% |
| US | 0% | 3.3% + 0.45 | 8% |
| Australia, EU, Other | 10% | 2.9% + 0.30 | 10% |
The currency symbol changes with the location: pounds for the UK, dollars for the US, Australian dollars for Australia, euros for the EU and a dollar sign for Other. The symbol is a display aid, not a currency conversion. Enter amounts in the currency you actually use.
The processing charge is applied to the transaction base, which includes the item price, taxable shipping and tax. The selling fee is also applied to that base in the stored model. The boost is applied to the item price only.
How shipping and tax affect the fee
Ship with Depop is enabled by default. When it is on, the stored model excludes shipping from the transaction base for fee calculation. When it is off, the shipping amount is added to the base and therefore increases the selling and processing fees.
Tax or VAT is added to the transaction base for fee calculation. It is not included in gross revenue, because it is a pass-through amount rather than seller income. The result is a lower net profit than a calculation that ignores the fee on tax.
This distinction is easy to miss. A sale with a large tax amount can have a noticeably higher fee even though the seller never keeps the tax. Check the breakdown rows to see how the base was built.
Gross revenue, fees and net profit
Gross revenue is the item price plus any taxable shipping. Tax is excluded from gross revenue. Total fees are the selling fee, processing fee and boost fee. Net profit is gross revenue minus total fees.
The calculator does not subtract the cost of the item, packaging, postage you pay outside Depop, or any other business expense. Its net profit is a sale-level payout estimate, not an accounting profit.
If Ship with Depop is on, the shipping charge is not part of the fee base, but the actual shipping cost may still be deducted elsewhere in the app. Do not assume that the calculator's net is the final bank deposit.
Boosted listings
A boosted listing is modelled as an extra percentage of the item price: 8 percent in the UK and US, 10 percent in Australia, the EU and Other. The boost is separate from the selling and processing fees.
Boosting can increase visibility, but it also raises the break-even price. On a low-priced item, the boost can consume a large share of the margin. Compare the net profit with and without the boost before enabling it.
The calculator does not model the duration of a boost, a daily budget or a performance guarantee. It only applies the stored percentage to the item price.
How to use the calculator
Choose your seller location. Enter the item price and the shipping you charge. Set Ship with Depop to yes or no to match the sale. Turn the boost on only if the listing is actually boosted.
Enter any tax or VAT collected. Read the total fees, gross sale, net profit and the itemised breakdown. The seller payout line shows what remains after the stored fees.
Run the same item with different prices to find a listing point that preserves your margin. If the result looks too low, check whether the boost, shipping or tax is being included in the way you intended.
Limitations and practical cautions
The rates are stored estimates. They may not reflect a current promotion, a category-specific rule, a currency conversion or a country not listed in the selector. The page does not connect to Depop or verify your account.
The calculator does not include refunds, chargebacks, bundles, offers, payment disputes, packaging or the cost of goods. It also does not model a buyer-paid shipping arrangement beyond the Ship with Depop toggle.
Blank or invalid numeric fields become zero in the calculation. A tiny sale can produce a negative net profit because the fixed processing component does not shrink. Treat a negative result as a warning about the price, not as a prediction of the exact payout.
When to use Ship with Depop
The Ship with Depop toggle changes the fee base in this stored model. When it is on, shipping is excluded from the base used for selling and processing fees. When it is off, shipping is added, which increases both fees.
The toggle is not a complete shipping calculator. It does not add a label cost, compare carriers or account for a buyer-paid versus seller-paid arrangement. Use it only to match the way the sale is structured, then check the app for the actual shipping charge.
Pricing for profit
Start with the amount you need to keep, then work backward to a listing price. The calculator's forward mode shows the net for a given price, so test several prices and pick one that covers the item cost, packaging and your time.
A boosted listing raises visibility but also raises the break-even point. If the boost pushes the net below your minimum, either raise the price or skip the boost. The calculator does not measure whether the extra exposure produces more sales; it only shows the cost.
A note on currency symbols
The currency symbol is only a visual cue. Selecting the UK does not convert a number from dollars to pounds, and selecting the EU does not apply an exchange rate. Enter the amount in the currency you actually receive, and use a separate currency converter if you need to compare regions. Mixing currencies in one calculation will produce a misleading fee.
A final check before listing
Run the calculation with the exact price, shipping and tax you plan to use. If the result is close to your minimum, add a small buffer for packaging or a future fee change. A listing that only works under perfect conditions is fragile.
Small print
The page is a planning aid, not a contract. If a fee changes after you list, update the calculation with the new rate and review the price before the next sale.
