UPTET photo and signature requirements in this tool
UPTET is the teacher eligibility test for Uttar Pradesh primary and upper-primary candidates. The online form asks for a photograph and signature, and an upload outside the allowed frame or weight can stop the application from being completed. Choosing UPTET in this tool loads the Uttar Pradesh row from a shared TET record: a 3.5 x 4.5 cm photograph at 10-50 KB and a 3.5 x 1.5 cm signature at 5-30 KB, both in JPEG. A 200 DPI photograph row is stored as well.
The TET record is shared by several teacher tests, so the dropdown also contains rows for other states and for CTET. Select the UPTET row and check the current UPTET notice before submitting. The figures here are stored preset values, not a quotation from the official advertisement.
Preparing the photograph
Use a recent front-facing picture taken against a plain light wall. Daylight from the front keeps the face evenly lit; a ceiling light can leave a shadow under the eyes. Keep the head centred, leave a little space above the hair, and avoid caps, dark glasses, filters, or a tilted phone. If the source is smaller than the crop frame, take a new photo rather than enlarging it, because interpolation makes the face look soft.
Preparing the signature
Sign in running hand on unlined white paper with a black or blue pen. Let the ink dry, then photograph or scan the paper flat. Crop tightly around the signature but leave every stroke inside the frame, including the first loop and the final tail. A faint pencil signature or a scan with a strong paper texture may compress badly and look incomplete on the portal preview.
Step by step
- Open the tool and choose UPTET from the exam list.
- Upload the photograph and adjust the crop to the 3.5 x 4.5 cm frame.
- Check the estimated weight and keep it between 10 KB and 50 KB.
- Switch to the signature tab, upload the scan, and crop to 3.5 x 1.5 cm at 5-30 KB.
- Download both JPEG files and reopen them to confirm the dimensions and file size.
Why UPTET uploads fail
Typical causes are a file saved as PNG, a photo below the minimum weight, a signature with a cut-off stroke, or a portrait that was stretched from a small original. Recheck the format and weight after download, and do not rely on the phone gallery preview alone. If the notice names a different ceiling, follow the notice.
What the tool cannot do
It crops, resizes, converts, and compresses the image you supply. It cannot repair a blurred face, change the background, verify your eligibility, or guarantee that the portal will accept the upload. Keep the original files until the application is submitted.
