WAEC photo tool for all countries

This page prepares a photo or signature for WAEC registration across different countries. It crops to a selected WAEC preset, converts the image to JPEG and compresses it toward the stored size window. The processed file downloads to your device.

There is no single universal WAEC size. The stored record contains several variants because national offices and registration systems set different limits. Choose the variant named in your own country's instruction.

Stored WAEC variants

The record includes 160×200, 240×280, 275×314 and 120×140 pixel photo variants, plus a 250×150 pixel signature. The KB windows differ: some are 8–15 KB, some 5–25 KB, one is 7–30 KB, and the smallest is capped at 8 KB.

These are stored values. Your national WAEC office and portal are the authority; confirm the current figure before uploading. The preset has not been changed.

How to choose

Read the candidate instruction for your country and registration type. Match the pixel size and KB window, not just the word WAEC. If two variants look similar, compare the maximum KB and the intended document type.

Do not use a signature preset for a photo or a photo preset for a signature. If your country's size is not in the list, use a custom-size tool and follow the notice rather than forcing a nearby variant.

Photo and signature tips

Use a recent colour photo on a plain light background. Face the camera with your eyes open and no hat or filter. For a signature, sign on white paper with dark ink, photograph it straight on and crop tightly around the strokes.

Do not copy another country's figures

Cross-country pages attract outdated advice because a size shared in a forum may belong to a different national office. Use the stored variants only to identify the document type the tool can produce, then verify the current width, height and KB window with your own WAEC office or candidate instruction.
