What Is the UK ETA Photo Resizer?

The UK Electronic Travel Authorisation uses the same face-photo standard as a visa: at least 600 x 750 pixels, JPEG, 50 KB to 6 MB, portrait orientation. This preset handles that frame.

Limitations

Do not mirror or flip the image. The ETA app may also ask you to take a live photo instead of uploading one.

How to Use It

  1. Pick the UK ETA face photo preset.
  2. Upload a clear photo with a plain background.
  3. Frame the head and shoulders inside the crop box.
  4. Process the image and check the final size.
  5. Download the JPEG or PNG and upload it.

Photo Notes

The photo must show your full face, with no other people or objects in the frame.

Good to Know

Some ETA flows use a live camera capture instead of an upload. When the app offers a file upload, this preset gives the correct portrait frame. Do not add a filter or a border to the photo.

Before You Upload

  • Open the official UK Visas and Immigration page and compare the current rule with the preset.
  • Confirm the file is JPEG and inside the 50 KB to 6 MB range.
  • Check the face is centred, the background is plain and no hair covers the eyes.
  • Keep a copy of the finished file in case the portal asks for it again.
