What Is the Polytechnic Result Checker?

The Polytechnic Result checker is a free online tool for the semester result of Diploma in Engineering students under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board. A polytechnic diploma runs for eight semesters across four years, and the board publishes a result after every semester. This page lets a student search one of those semester results using the curriculum, semester, exam year, roll number and registration number.

How This Tool Works

That response gives you the diploma curriculum list limited to the code used by this tool, and the exam years from 2005 up to the current year. Curriculum names come from the official BTEB public curriculum service and are cached for thirty minutes, so the dropdown opens quickly even on a slow connection.

Next to the semester list you will find a math security question. It is loaded from the same official service together with a token, the answer box stays disabled until the question is ready, and the refresh icon loads a new question whenever you want one.

When you press Get Result, the page sends the curriculum code, six digit roll number, registration number, semester, exam year, captcha token and captcha answer to this site. The server checks each field, forwards the request to the official BTEB result service, and turns the response into a student block, a list of semester blocks with GPA status, and subject lists with codes, names, grades and marks when they are visible. Identical searches are cached for ten minutes. If no record matches, or the security answer is wrong, the official message appears on the page.

How to Use the Polytechnic Result Checker

1. Open the Curriculum dropdown and select your diploma curriculum. The semester list unlocks as soon as a curriculum is chosen.
2. Choose your Semester, from semester 1 up to semester 8, the one you want to check.
3. Select the Exam Year in which that semester examination was held.
4. Type your six digit Roll Number from your admit card.
5. Type your Registration Number exactly as printed.
6. Answer the math question in the Security Check box, or press the refresh icon to get a new question.
7. Press Get Result. The result card fills with your status badge, identity details and the semester block.
8. Read the semester block to see subject codes, grades and the GPA. Use Share Result to copy a pre filled link, or Find Another Result to start a new search.

Limits and Rules

This checker is for Diploma in Engineering semester results of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board. It is not for general education board results, and it will not return an SSC or regular HSC result from another board.

The roll number must be exactly six digits, the registration one to ten digits, and the exam year 2005 or later. The semester you choose must be the one you actually appeared in, because the official service identifies the record by curriculum, semester, year, roll and registration together.

Status, GPA and grades are displayed exactly as the official service returns them. The tool does not calculate a GPA, does not change a status and never shows figures the board has not published. Mark columns appear only when the official response says marks are visible for your record.

Search only for your own result or a result you are allowed to check, keep to the request limits described above, and confirm anything you submit officially against the board record before sending it with an application.

When to Use This Tool and When Not To

Use it right after a semester result is published, when you need a quick answer on a phone. It is also useful before an admission or job form, when you want to quote the latest GPA, and for parents or staff who need to confirm a roll number without going to the institute.

Do not use it for a general education board result, because those belong to different lookup tools. It is not a printed marksheet or transcript generator either, since the page shows the result card and subject table for reading on screen. And no checker can return a result before the board publishes it, so an early search for a semester that is still being processed will simply report that no result was found.
