Bihar STET Photo and Signature Resizer

Bihar STET Photo and Signature Resizer turns a photograph and a signature into JPEG files sized to this site's stored Bihar STET presets. Cropping and compression happen in the browser, so nothing is uploaded. The BSEB STET notice remains the authority for the figures.

The BSEB upload, and why it is checked twice

Bihar STET is the State Teacher Eligibility Test run by the Bihar School Examination Board for secondary classes in Paper I and senior secondary classes in Paper II. Applications go through the board's STET portal. The photograph is checked when the form is filled and again when the admit card is generated, so replacing a rejected image later is not a trivial fix.

Stored rows used here

The table below lists what this site currently holds for Bihar STET. It is a preset, not a quotation from the board's notice.

RowDimensionsFloorCeiling
Photograph3.5 x 4.5 cm15 KB50 KB
Signature3.5 x 1.5 cm5 KB30 KB

BSEB's STET notice on secondary.biharboardonline.com is the authority for the current cycle. Treat the numbers above as stored defaults, not as a claim about the live form.

Why the 15 KB floor catches people

Most upload guides talk only about the ceiling. The Bihar STET preset also has a floor of 15 KB for the photograph, and a small, clean portrait saved at low quality can drop below it. If the portal says the file is too small, raise JPEG quality or start from a larger crop instead of adding a border.

Making a signature that survives compression

Write with a fountain pen or a gel pen that lays down solid ink. A thin ballpoint line breaks up when the JPEG is compressed to 30 KB. Sign on plain white paper, leave a small margin, and crop to the 3.5 by 1.5 cm frame. Do not photograph the paper at an angle.

STET is not BTET

BTET is the elementary teacher test for classes I to VIII and uses a different preset with a 10 KB photo floor. A file prepared for BTET can therefore fail the STET floor. Keep the two sets of files in separate folders if you are applying for both.

Step by step

  1. Open the photo or signature tab and pick the Bihar STET row, not the generic TET row.
  2. Upload the original and let the browser read its real pixel size.
  3. Crop tightly: head and shoulders for the photo, ink only for the signature.
  4. Adjust quality until the estimate sits inside the range, with a little margin on both sides.
  5. Download and upload to the BSEB form without renaming the extension.

What this page cannot do

It processes one file at a time and outputs JPEG. Background removal, signature whitening and form submission are outside its scope. It also cannot confirm whether BSEB has changed a figure for the current advertisement.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Short answers for the questions users ask before trusting the result.

It is the stored floor used here. Confirm the figure in the current BSEB STET notice before relying on it.

Yes. Both papers belong to the same candidature, and the uploaded photo is reused on the admit card.

The converter is locked to a shared TET record, so every state variant is listed. Choose the Bihar STET row.

Lower the JPEG quality a little at a time. Keep checking the estimate so you do not cross below the 15 KB floor.

No. BTET covers classes I to VIII, while STET covers secondary and senior secondary classes. Their presets differ.

It only crops, rotates and compresses the image. It does not redraw, thicken or clean the signature.
