Age Relaxation: Unreserved candidates get 5 years, OBC (NCL) get 8 years, SC/ST get 10 years. Ex-Servicemen get 8 years (UR), 11 years (OBC), and 13 years (SC/ST), after deducting military service from actual age.

What Education You Need

Your certificate must be from a Central or State Government-recognized board. If it is from another board, you need a government notification proving its equivalence.

What Sports Qualification You Need

For HC/GD: You must have represented India in an international competition with clearance from the Department of Sports. Or represented your State/UT in National Games/Championship with a medal or position up to 3rd. Or secured 1st/2nd position in Inter-University Tournaments. Or won Gold/Silver at Junior National level.

For CT/GD: You must have represented your State in Senior/Junior National level Games. Or represented a State School Team in National Sports for Schools with a medal or position up to 3rd. Or represented your State/UT in Khelo India University Games/Youth Games/Winter Games with a medal or position up to 3rd. Or represented your University in Inter-University Tournaments.

Important: Your sports achievement must fall between 30 September 2024 and 30 September 2026. If you are awaiting results or do not have certificates yet, you cannot apply.

Salary — CRPF Sportsperson Recruitment 2026

Dearness Allowance, HRA, and other allowances are payable. The New Defined Contributory Pension Scheme applies to selected candidates.

Selection Process — CRPF Sportsperson Recruitment 2026

Selection happens in five steps: Document Verification, Marking of Achievements, Physical Standard Test, Sports Trial Test, and Medical Examination.

1. Documentation

You must produce original documents for age, education, sports achievement, domicile, and category. If you cannot show the originals, you will be eliminated here.

You get marks for your single highest medal or position during the eligible window. Here is the marking scheme:

3. Physical Standard Test (PST)

Height and chest relaxations are available for Scheduled Tribes, North-Eastern States candidates, Gorkha Territorial Administration candidates, and candidates from specific regions.

4. Sports Trial Test

This test is purely qualifying (pass or fail). No marks are awarded. A Dope Test may be conducted on the day. No appeal for re-trial is accepted.

5. Medical Examination

Detailed and Review Medical Examinations follow MHA guidelines. Minimum vision required is 6/6 and 6/9 in both eyes without correction. Colour-blind candidates are not eligible. Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, or squint. Tattoos are restricted to secular/religious symbols only, on the left forearm inner aspect or dorsum of hands, and must be less than ¼ of that body part.

Order of Preference for Merit

When marks are tied, preference is given in this order: (a) International representation with Department of Sports clearance; (b) Senior/Junior National Championship medal (Senior preferred); (c) Inter-University/Khelo India University Games medal; (d) Khelo India Youth/Winter Games medal; (e) School National Games medal; (f) participation without a medal at levels (b)–(e).

2. Create your profile and upload a copy of your sports certificate showing your highest medal or position. Applications without this upload will be rejected during scrutiny.
3. Fill the online application form and pay the fee through the website only.
4. Submit your application before 11 November 2026, 23:59 hrs.
5. Use the correction window (12–14 November 2026) if you need to fix anything.

You must apply online only. No offline applications are accepted. Government employees must submit through their employer with a No Objection Certificate.

Important Conditions
