GTA VI leaker Cyberleek returns with new footage as crypto token lags behind early hype

Cyberleek shares new GTA VI gameplay footage

Pseudonymous GTA VI leaker known as Cyberleek has returned after a period away from posting. They shared 25 minutes of gameplay footage that they claim shows previously unseen open-world content and mission cutscenes.

The footage appears to show GTA VI protagonist Jason running around naked and his in-game partner Lucia in bikini bottoms. A first-person mode was also reportedly revealed in the leak, according to Metro.

Token surge is small compared to August peak

Cyberleek first began leaking GTA VI content on August 18 to promote their crypto token called $CYBERLEEK. At that time, they claimed to be advocating for consumers' rights after Rockstar Games dropped physical discs for the game.

The token has seen a 200% rise over the last two days following the new leak. However, its market cap remains down 94% from the nearly $40 million high reached in late August when the first leaks emerged, according to DEX Screener data cited by Protos.

Rockstar and Take-Two respond to leaks

The ongoing leaks prompted Rockstar Games to issue a statement before a Netflix-partnered streaming event. The studio said its team was "heartbroken" by the leaks and expressed concern that spoilers could impact the intended game experience.

Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company, has filed subpoenas against Discord, Microsoft, and X in an effort to identify the leaker.

Gamers grow wary of spoilers

Cyberleek's continued activity is making some gamers increasingly concerned about potential spoilers for GTA VI's story. Some users have suggested muting certain keywords on social media to avoid having plot points revealed before the game launches.

GTA VI is scheduled to release on November 19. It has reportedly generated nearly $430 million in pre-orders, according to GameSpot.

What is confirmed

Cyberleek posted new gameplay footage claiming to show GTA VI content. The $CYBERLEEK token has risen but remains far below its August high. Rockstar and Take-Two have responded publicly and are pursuing legal action to identify the source. GTA VI releases November 19.

What is still unclear

The authenticity of the leaked footage has not been independently verified. The identity of Cyberleek remains unknown. It is unclear whether Take-Two's subpoenas will lead to identifying the leaker.
