Selection Process — HPPSC HPAS Recruitment 2026
Your selection happens in three stages:
- Preliminary Exam: Two papers (General Studies & Aptitude Test). Both are objective type. Paper-I decides your merit. Paper-II is qualifying (you need 33% marks). Wrong answers deduct 0.33 marks each.
- Main Written Exam: Six compulsory papers (English, Hindi, Essay, GS-I, GS-II, GS-III) and two optional subject papers. You must score at least 40% in English and Hindi.
- Personality Test (Interview): Final stage. Tests your personality and suitability for administrative roles.
Exam centers are in Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Dharamshala, Palampur, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Nahan, Solan, Una, Sundernagar, and Rampur Bushahr.
