Nocturne Card offers virtual prepaid cards funded with crypto

Nocturne Card turns crypto into a dollar balance for online spending

Nocturne Card is a virtual prepaid card service run by Noctavel LLC. Cryptocurrencies are digital assets, such as Bitcoin.

Users use a browser dashboard to convert Bitcoin, Ether, USDT, USDC, Litecoin or Monero into a US dollar spending balance. They can then load that balance onto a virtual card. A virtual card is for online use and has no physical form.

The loaded cards can be used for purchases and subscriptions.

Three card types and main features

  • The lineup includes Shadow, Aurora and Eclipse.
  • Shadow supports Google Pay.
  • Aurora supports Google Pay and Apple Pay, subject to wallet eligibility.
  • Eclipse is designed for advertising and related digital spending.
  • Users can create, load, freeze and close cards from the dashboard.
  • No native app is required.

Fees, withdrawals and other limits

Third-party financial institutions issue the cards.

Fees apply to card creation, deposits and loading. The amounts vary by product and activity.

The spending balance cannot be withdrawn as cryptocurrency or cash. ATM withdrawals are not available.

Eligibility and identity checks

Users must be at least 18 years old.

Access is subject to jurisdiction, onboarding and issuing-partner requirements.

Registration is offered without document uploads. However, the terms allow identity checks and compliance reviews in specified circumstances.
