Remixpoint sells all altcoins to focus only on Bitcoin
Remixpoint, a major Japanese corporate holder of Bitcoin, has sold all its altcoin holdings to focus exclusively on Bitcoin. The company offloaded its entire holdings of Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Dogecoin (DOGE) for a total of 878.8 million yen, or about $5.5 million.
The move left Remixpoint with roughly 1,506 Bitcoin, worth around $115 million, as its only cryptocurrency asset.
Sale details and gains
According to a company disclosure, the sale generated a net gain of 117.8 million yen, or about $736,000. Remixpoint made profits on its ETH, SOL, and XRP sales but sold its DOGE at a loss of 3.26 million yen, or roughly $20,000. The transaction was completed on September 1, 2026, with gains expected to be recorded in the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027.
Before the sale, Remixpoint held approximately 901 ETH, 13,920 SOL, 1.19 million XRP, and 2.8 million DOGE.
Reason for the shift
Remixpoint stated that the decision to sell its altcoins was based on market conditions, risk-return considerations, and its financial strategy. By focusing solely on Bitcoin, the company aims to clarify its investment approach and improve capital efficiency.
The firm has also earned returns from its Bitcoin holdings, generating 14.92 BTC from lending activities between February 24 and August 31, valued at 164.2 million yen, or about $1 million.
