Robinhood Chain fees hit $6 M daily record as Pons drives DEX volume surge

Robinhood Chain hits $6 M daily fee record

On Friday, Sept. 4, the Robinhood Chain recorded a single‑day fee total of $6 million. This is the highest daily fee amount the chain has ever posted.

Key numbers

  • Fees for the seven days ending Sept. 4 were about $25 million, up from $1.4 million a week earlier – a 17‑fold increase.
  • Weekly DEX (decentralized exchange) volume reached $12.4 billion, more than double the previous week.
  • Average daily active accounts fell to 396,000, lower than the prior week.
  • Fees per active account rose from $0.13 in mid‑August to $15.90 by early September.

Pons protocol as the driver

The surge is linked to Pons, a token launchpad on the Robinhood Chain. On Sept. 3, Pons alone generated nearly $6 million in fees, outpacing other protocols such as Pump.fun and Hyperliquid on the same day.

The PONS token hit an all‑time‑high valuation of over $970 million on Sept. 5 and rose more than 200 % in the past week.

Pons uses about 80 % of its revenue for token buybacks, and over 28 % of the PONS supply has been burned so far.

What is confirmed

  • The $6 million fee record on Sept. 4.
  • The 17‑fold weekly fee increase and $12.4 billion DEX volume.
  • The role of Pons in generating most of the recent fees.
  • The valuation and price rise of the PONS token.

Why it matters

Higher fees per user suggest the Robinhood Chain is extracting more value from its existing participants. The rapid growth in DEX volume indicates increasing trading activity on the chain, which could affect its competitiveness among layer‑2 solutions.
