Robinhood Opens Social Trading Feed to All Eligible US Customers

Robinhood’s social feed goes live for US users

Robinhood’s Social trading network is now available to all eligible US customers, CEO Vlad Tenev announced on October 13. The feature adds an in-app feed where users can share charts, profit and loss data, and portfolio allocations alongside market commentary.

Users can follow other traders, view shared account activity, and initiate eligible trades directly from posts through a "Quick trade" button, according to Robinhood’s help page.

What the rollout includes

  • The social feed lets users share selected trades, charts, and portfolio details.
  • A "Quick trade" feature allows users to execute eligible trades from posts.
  • Users can choose which transactions to post; trades are not automatically published.
  • Profile trading statistics can be turned off.
  • Futures and multi-leg options trades are not currently eligible for posting.
  • A desktop version for Robinhood Legend is planned for the coming weeks.

From beta to full launch

The service follows a beta that launched on March 18. Robinhood initially limited access to 1,000 customers who attended its HOOD Summit, then added 10,000 more over the following weeks. That test version included verified trade posts, daily and one-year profit-and-loss statistics, and manual trading from the feed.

Who can use it

Robinhood Social is available only in the US. The company excludes securities-licensed professionals, people associated with regulated financial institutions, and its own employees from access.

Why this matters

The move brings social trading features into mainstream retail investing. Robinhood has over 23 million funded accounts, and the feed gives users a way to discover and act on market ideas without leaving the app.

What happens next

Robinhood plans to bring the social feed to its Legend desktop trading platform in the coming weeks, according to Tenev.
