Tokenized stocks trade $1 billion over Labor Day weekend while US markets closed
Weekend trading volume matches weekday
The 42 largest tokenized equity tokens moved $1.01 billion on Saturday and Sunday, almost the same as the $1.02 billion traded on Friday when U.S. exchanges were open. Labor Day added another $398.3 million, bringing the three‑day shutdown total to $1.41 billion.
Robinhood Chain leads with over half the volume
Robinhood Chain accounted for $572.8 million (57 %) of the weekend total, split roughly equally between Saturday and Sunday. Binance’s bStocks contributed $303.5 million, Backed Finance’s xStocks $87.1 million, and Ondo Global Markets $43.8 million.
Nasdaq‑100 token QQQB tops the list
The most‑traded token was QQQB, a bStocks version of the Invesco QQQ Trust, which generated $180.5 million over the weekend ($88.9 million Saturday, $91.6 million Sunday). Its price stayed near the Friday close of the underlying index ($719.36 vs $718.96).
Prices stayed close to Friday closes
Most tokenized stocks traded within a small range of Friday’s market prices. For example, tokenized NVIDIA moved between $229.18 and $233.52 on Saturday, close to its Friday close of $230.36, a premium never exceeding 1.4 %.
Decentralized exchanges handled most trades
Nearly all volume passed through decentralized exchanges. QQQB saw $47 million on PancakeSwap V3, $42.2 million on Uniswap V4, and $19.6 million on BNB Chain’s native venue. Centralized exchanges accounted for about 8 % of QQQB’s volume.
