US Bitcoin ETFs take in $347 million as five-day inflow streak hits $2.65 billion
Bitcoin ETFs take in $347 million as Bitcoin falls below $84,000
US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) drew about $347 million in net inflows on Wednesday, according to SoSoValue data. An ETF is a fund that trades on a stock exchange, and net inflows mean more money entered the funds than left them.
The result extended the funds' positive streak to five trading days, even as Bitcoin fell below $84,000 after briefly trading above $87,000. Over those five sessions through Wednesday, the funds have taken in about $2.65 billion.
Key numbers from the five-day run
- Wednesday's inflow of about $347 million came after $714.75 million on Tuesday and a 2026 high of $998.95 million on Monday.
- The five-day total reached about $2.65 billion.
- The funds have attracted about $2.37 billion so far in September, which the report says offset earlier outflows and lifted year-to-date inflows to roughly $596 million.
- Bitcoin traded at $83,743 at the time of publication, down 2.7% over 24 hours but up 9.5% over seven days, according to CoinGecko.
BlackRock and Fidelity funds led Wednesday's inflows
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), described as the largest US spot Bitcoin ETF by assets, led Wednesday with $166 million in inflows. Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) followed with $143 million, according to Farside Investors data.
Ether and XRP funds also added money
US spot Ether ETFs drew around $105 million on Wednesday, their fourth consecutive day of net inflows, lifting cumulative inflows to $13.8 billion, according to SoSoValue. Spot XRP ETFs added $18 million, bringing cumulative inflows to about $1.8 billion.
Why the ETF flows are worth watching
The inflows show that money kept moving into US spot Bitcoin funds on a day when the Bitcoin price moved down. The report also notes that September's inflows have reversed earlier outflows and pushed the year-to-date figure back into positive territory at about $596 million.
