CU admission and the photo upload
The University of Chittagong runs admission tests for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The application portal collects a photograph before the candidate can complete the form. Taking a usable portrait
Use a recent picture with the face clearly visible, taken against a plain background. Keep the camera level and look straight ahead. A slight smile is fine, but avoid a tilted head, a hand near the face, or a photo where one side is in deep shadow. The square crop should show the head and the top of the shoulders without cutting the chin.
Converting and compressing
If the original is PNG or HEIC, let the tool convert it to JPEG. Then check the estimated weight while moving the quality control. The stored range is wide, so aim for a clean file rather than the smallest possible one. A very low-quality JPEG can make the face look patchy on the portal preview.
Common mistakes
Do not upload a screenshot of another photo, a picture with a strong filter, or a file that has been renamed to .jpg without actually changing its format. Reopen the downloaded file and confirm the extension and dimensions. If the notice names a different frame, use that frame instead of the preset.
Limits
The tool cannot change the background, repair a blurred image, or guarantee that the portal will accept the upload. It also cannot decide which admission route applies to you. Keep the original and the downloaded copy until the application is complete.
