What Is the BTEB Result Checker?

The BTEB Result checker is a free online tool for looking up an examination result of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, which most students simply call BTEB. This board runs technical and vocational education in Bangladesh. It conducts four year Diploma examinations in fields such as Engineering, Textile, Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock, Forestry and Medical Technology, and it also runs shorter programmes like the Advanced Certificate Course, Certificate in Marine Trade, Certificate Course of one year, National Skill Standard, Basic Trade 360 Hours and Computer Short Course 200 Hours.

You enter the exam type, exam year, roll number and registration number from your admit card, press Get Result, and the tool reads the record from the BTEB result archive. The answer appears as a clear card on the same page: candidate name, father name, mother name, roll and registration number, technology, session, institute, a pass or fail badge, and the CGPA, division or grade reported by the board.

The lookup is live. Each new search asks the board result service for that exam, year, roll and registration combination, so the page shows what the board system currently holds rather than an old copied list (identical repeat searches are served from a ten minute cache).

How This Tool Works

Two things happen before you press anything. The Exam Type dropdown is filled from this site BTEB exam endpoint, which returns the official exam identifiers and names together with the session part options. The Exam Year dropdown is built in your browser from the current year, capped at 2025, down to 2005, because the board result service accepts only those years.

When you press Get Result, the page sends your exam, year, roll, registration and session part to this site. The server checks the values, then posts the same details to the BTEB result archive service. That service replies with an HTML result table. Our server reads the labelled cells in that table and turns them into clean fields: Exam Year, Technology Name, Roll, Registration No, Session, Name, Father name, Mother name, Institute Name, Result and CGPA, Division or Grade.

The parsed result is cached for ten minutes. Searching the same exam, year, roll and registration again inside that window returns instantly from the cache instead of asking the board server twice. If the board reports that the record does not match the criteria, you see the message No result found for the given information, and the form stays ready so you can correct a digit and search again. Request limits also keep the service fair: twenty result lookups per minute and ten exam list requests per minute.

How to Use the BTEB Result Checker

1. Open the Exam Type dropdown and select your examination, for example DIPLOMA IN ENGINEERING.
2. Choose the Exam Year in which you appeared. The list runs from the current year down to 2005.
3. Type your Roll Number into the roll field, using the digits on your admit card.
4. Type your Registration Number into the registration field, again exactly as printed.
5. If you selected BASIC TRADE 360 HOURS, a Session Part dropdown appears. Pick the correct part, such as Jan to Jun or Jul to Dec. For every other exam type this field stays hidden.
6. Press Get Result, or hit Enter while you are still inside a text field.
7. Read the result card on the right. The badge shows the board status, and the CGPA, division or grade sits below the identity rows.
8. Press Share Result to copy a pre filled link, or Find Another Result to clear everything and start again.

Limits and Rules

This checker covers examinations handled by the Bangladesh Technical Education Board result service, and only for the years 2005 to 2025. Select the exact exam type and year you appeared in, because a correct roll number searched under the wrong year returns no record.

Both roll number and registration number are required. The board service matches them together, so a single wrong digit will not return a result. Session Part is required only for the Basic Trade 360 Hours exam and must be one of the six official options.

The tool shows exactly what the board result table reports: the result status and the CGPA, division or grade. It does not create results, does not change grades and does not publish any figure the board has not published. When a result has just been released, the ten minute cache may briefly keep an identical query in its previous state, so a repeat search a few minutes later will reflect the newest data.

Please search only for your own result or for a result you have permission to check. Very frequent or automated lookups are limited by the request limits described above, and a result needed for an official purpose should also be confirmed against the official board record.

When to Use This Tool and When Not To

Use this tool when you want a quick answer: on result day, on a phone while travelling, or when a relative asks you to check a roll number for them. It is also useful before you scan or photograph your documents, because it confirms the status and the CGPA in one screen, and the share link makes it easy to send the same search to family members.

Skip this tool when you need a general education board result. SSC and HSC results from the education boards are different services with different tools on this site. It is also the wrong choice when you need a subject by subject marksheet, because this checker reports the overall status and the CGPA, division or grade rather than individual subject marks. Finally, do not expect a result before the board has published it. The checker can only return a record that already exists in the board result service, so on the very first minutes of publication a fresh search may still return nothing.
