Jahangirnagar University conducts admission tests for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at its campus in Savar, Dhaka. The online application collects a photograph and a signature before the candidate can pay and submit. A file with the wrong shape or an unexpected format can block the form, so it is worth preparing both images before the portal session rather than during it.

Cropping the portrait
Use a recent colour photograph taken against a plain background, facing the camera with a neutral expression. Keep the head centred inside the square and leave a little space above the hair. Daylight from the front is easier to work with than a ceiling light, which can leave a shadow across the eyes. Avoid caps, dark glasses, and beauty filters.
Preparing the signature
Sign on unlined white paper with a black or blue pen and let the ink dry. Photograph or scan the paper flat, then crop to the wide 300 x 80 px box. Keep the first and last strokes inside the frame; a signature that touches the edge may look cut off in the portal preview.
Common upload problems
The usual causes are a PNG or HEIC file, a photo below the stored 50 KB minimum, a face that is too small in the frame, and a signature with a visible table or shadow. Reopen the downloaded JPEG and check its dimensions and weight before attaching it. Do not stretch a small image to fill the square.
Tool limits
The tool crops, resizes, converts, and compresses only. It cannot repair a blurred face, change the background, or confirm that the admission portal will accept the file. Keep the original images until the application is complete.
