The Markdown Front Matter Extractor parses YAML front matter from Markdown files used in static site generators like Jekyll, Hugo, and Eleventy, and returns the metadata and remaining content separately.
Why Use This Tool?
Front matter contains important metadata like title, date, tags, and layout. Extracting it helps with content management, bulk metadata editing, and migrating between static site generators.
How It Works
- Paste Markdown content that starts with YAML front matter.
- Click Extract to parse the metadata block.
- View the parsed JSON, raw YAML, and the content without front matter.
- Copy sections individually or download the full JSON.
