Karnataka State Police applications
Karnataka State Police (KSP) recruits constables, sub-inspectors and other ranks through online applications announced by the department. Recruitment drives can be run on a dedicated portal or through another state agency, so the portal changes from one drive to the next. Start from the department's own site, ksp.karnataka.gov.in, and open the notification for the post you are applying to.
Unlike most two-file forms, a KSP application in this preset has three image uploads, and two of them share the same slim centimetre frame.
Three uploads for a KSP form
- Photograph: passport style, 3.5 cm wide by 4.5 cm tall.
- Signature: 3.5 cm by 1.5 cm.
- Left thumb impression: also 3.5 cm by 1.5 cm, pressed in ink on white paper and scanned.

Using the KSP preset
- KSP is preselected. On the Type step pick photo, signature or the thumb impression document.
- Add the scan with Browse file (JPG, PNG and WebP are read).
- Drag the crop frame and confirm with Apply crop, or Skip crop if the scan is already trimmed.
- Press Skip caption; this preset does not need a name strip.
- Read the required-versus-result table and press Download processed image. Repeat with Start over for the other two files.
What is particular about KSP
The signature window is narrow: 50 KB at the bottom and 70 KB at the top, only 20 KB wide, at 200 DPI. Start from a clean, well-lit scan so the tool does not have to push a faint signature up to the floor. The thumb impression gets the largest allowance, 250 KB, which helps keep the ridges legible; press firmly once and avoid a smudged double print. Because signature and thumb share the 3.5 x 1.5 cm frame, label your downloads clearly so you do not upload one in place of the other.
