What Is the BTEB Semester Result Checker?

The BTEB Semester Result checker is a free online tool for the semester wise result of diploma examinations conducted by the Bangladesh Technical Education Board. Most diploma programmes run for eight semesters across four years, and the board publishes a result after each semester is processed. This page searches one of those semester results and displays it in a readable card instead of a raw table.

You choose the examination, curriculum, semester and exam year, then enter your roll number, registration number and the answer to a short math security question. The result card shows the candidate name, a pass or fail status badge, parents names, roll and registration, curriculum with code, session, and institute with code. Each semester block below carries its own status badge, a subject table with subject code, subject name and letter grade, and the GPA for that semester. When the board publishes optional subjects for a semester, they appear in their own table beside the compulsory subjects.

If the official response says marks are visible for your record, the tables also show the full mark and obtained mark columns. If marks are not published yet, you still see codes, names and grades.

Who Uses the Semester Result Tool

Diploma students use it most often, on the day a semester result is published. They want to confirm that they can progress to the next semester, check the GPA they are carrying forward, and review which subjects need more attention. Students applying for jobs, training or scholarships often need the latest semester result close at hand.

Parents and institute staff are the other group. A parent can verify a roll number from home, and staff can check a list of rolls without waiting for a printed notice. Since the card shows parents names, session and institute next to the roll and registration, every check can be confirmed as the right student before the result is used anywhere.

The form needs no account and no payment, and it works in an ordinary phone browser, which is how most checks happen when results go live.

How This Tool Works

When the page opens, it asks this site for the result options. The response contains the examination list, which lists Diploma and Short Course (only Diploma has curriculums to choose from at the moment), the curriculum list limited to the codes the selected examination supports, and the exam years from 2005 to the current year. Curriculum names are fetched from the official BTEB public curriculum service and cached for half an hour, so the dropdown stays fast.

The semester list runs from semester 1 to semester 8 and becomes available once you have chosen a curriculum. Alongside it sits a math security question loaded from the official service together with a token. The answer box stays disabled until the question is ready, and the refresh icon beside it loads a new question whenever you want.

When you press Get Result, the page sends your curriculum code, six digit roll number, registration number, semester, exam year, captcha token and captcha answer to this site. The server validates every field, forwards the request to the official BTEB result service, and normalises the reply into a student block, semester blocks with GPA status, compulsory subjects and optional subjects. Identical searches are cached for ten minutes. If nothing matches, or the security answer is wrong, the official message is shown on the page so you know exactly what to correct.

How to Use the BTEB Semester Result Checker

1. Open the Examination dropdown and choose Diploma (Short Course currently has no curricula to select).
2. Select your Curriculum from the list that fills in for that examination.
3. Choose the Semester you want to check, from semester 1 up to semester 8.
4. Select the Exam Year of that semester examination.
5. Type your six digit Roll Number from your admit card.
6. Type your Registration Number exactly as printed on your admit card.
7. Answer the math question in the Security Check box, or press the refresh icon for a new question.
8. Press Get Result. The card on the right fills with your status badge, identity details and semester block.
9. Read the subject grades and GPA in the semester block. Use Share Result to copy a pre filled link, or Find Another Result to clear the form and start over.

Limits and Rules

This checker covers semester examinations of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board only. General education board SSC and HSC results are held by different services and need their own lookup tools on this site.

The roll number must be exactly six digits, the registration between one and ten digits, and the exam year 2005 or later. The examination, curriculum, semester and year must match what you actually appeared in, because the official service uses all of them together with your roll and registration to identify the record.

Status, GPA and grades are shown exactly as the official service returns them. This tool does not calculate a GPA, does not alter a status and never displays a figure the board has not published. Mark columns appear only when the official response says marks are visible for your record, and optional subjects appear only when the board includes them.

Please search only your own result or a result you are allowed to check, respect the request limits above, and confirm anything official against the board record before submitting it with an application or job form.

When to Use This Tool and When Not To

Use it when a semester result has just been published and you want an answer quickly on a phone. It is also useful before an admission, job or scholarship form, when you need the latest GPA, and for parents or staff who must verify a roll number without visiting the institute.

Do not use it for a general education board result, because those belong to different tools. It is not a printed marksheet or transcript generator either, since the page is for reading the result card and subject tables on screen. And no lookup can return a result before the board publishes it, so a search for a semester that is still being processed will simply report that no result was found.
