What OTET is

The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. Paper I covers classes I to V and Paper II covers classes VI to VIII. The application is made through the board's portal, and the uploaded photograph and signature travel with the candidature to the admit card stage.

Numbers held for OTET

This site keeps the following OTET values in its shared TET record. They are presets and were not re-checked against the current OTET notification for this page.

  • Photograph: 3.5 x 4.5 cm, 10 to 50 KB, JPEG.
  • Signature: 3.5 x 1.5 cm, 5 to 30 KB, JPEG.

The OTET notice published by BSE Odisha on bseodisha.ac.in is the authority for your cycle. Use these rows only as a starting point.

The BSE Odisha form

The upload step is short, but it comes after personal details and paper selection. Keep the files ready before you start, because the session can time out while you search for a scan. A photograph with a busy background or a signature photographed at an angle is usually sent back even when the file size is correct.

Photo advice

Stand against a plain wall in daylight, not under a ceiling fan with a strong downlight. Ask someone to take the picture at eye level. A slight downward angle makes the head look larger and leaves shadow under the chin. Crop to the shoulders so the face fills most of the frame.

Signature advice

Use a dark gel pen on unlined paper. Sign once, firmly, and scan the paper flat. If the ink is faint, raise contrast slightly rather than thickening the strokes with a filter. The signature should match the one you will use on the attendance sheet.

Steps

  1. Choose the OTET photograph or signature row; do not leave the generic TET row selected.
  2. Upload the original and confirm the browser has read it as an image.
  3. Crop to the preset frame and straighten any tilt.
  4. Watch the estimated KB value as you change quality.
  5. Download the JPEG and attach it to the OTET form.

Limits

No background removal, no signature beautification, no multi-file batch and no direct upload to the board. The tool runs locally and cannot tell you whether the current OTET notice has changed a limit.
