RCSC photo resizer

This tool prepares a photo for the RCSC application. It crops to the stored RCSC preset, converts the image to JPEG and compresses it toward the stored size window. The processed file downloads to your device.

The page uses a single photo preset, so the main work is choosing a clear source image and cropping it well.

Stored RCSC preset

The stored record is a 3.5×4.5 cm photo, JPEG, 96 DPI, with a 50–500 KB window. The label in the database contains a unit typo, but the preset is stored in centimetres; the tool converts it to pixels at the selected DPI.

These are stored values. The RCSC notice is the authority; confirm the current dimensions and KB limit before uploading. The preset has not been changed.

How to use it

Upload a recent colour photo with a plain light background. Crop so the head and shoulders fit the guide, then process and download. Check the output dimensions and file size before uploading to the portal.

If the crop cuts the top of the head or the chin, undo and start again from the original. A tight crop cannot be repaired by compression.

Photo tips

Face the camera with your eyes open and a neutral expression. Avoid hats, heavy shadows, filters and screenshots. A soft, even light is better than a harsh flash. Start from a larger image so the resized result stays sharp.

Common errors

A portal may reject the file because the dimensions, KB size or format do not match its current rule. It may also reject a photo with a busy background or a face that is too small. Check the downloaded file properties and keep the original for another attempt.
