Selection Process — UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist 2027

The selection will happen in three stages:

Stage-I: Preliminary Examination (400 Marks)
- Paper-I: General Studies (100 Marks, 2 Hours) – Common for all streams
- Paper-II: Stream-Specific (Geology/Geophysics/Chemistry) (300 Marks, 2 Hours)
- Note: Negative marking of 1/3rd (0.33) for each wrong answer.
Stage-II: Main Examination (600 Marks)
- 3 descriptive papers (200 Marks each, 3 Hours per paper)
- Medium: English only
Stage-III: Personality Test / Interview (200 Marks)
- Final merit list based on aggregate marks from all stages.
