What is Reverb fee calculator
Reverb is an online marketplace for buying and selling new, used, and vintage musical instruments, gear, and accessories. The Reverb fee calculator helps sellers determine how much will be deducted from their sales on Reverb. The calculator takes the item price, shipping costs, currency type, and seller status to compute the exact fees—including the 5% selling fee, payment processing fees, cross-border fees, and applicable taxes—so sellers can accurately determine their net profit and set competitive prices.
Why Reverb fee calculator is very important?
The Reverb fee calculator is an essential tool for sellers on the platform because it helps them calculate the exact fees and determine a fair, profitable price for their items. Setting the right price is critical for several reasons:
- Too low of a price may result in the seller not making a profit or potentially even losing money on the sale.
- Too high of a price may deter potential buyers and result in the item not selling.
By using the Reverb fee calculator, sellers can set a price that accounts for all relevant costs, including the item price, shipping, sales tax, Reverb selling fees, payment processing fees, and any additional charges like cross-border or currency conversion fees. This ensures sellers remain competitive while maximizing their earnings.

Example of Reverb Fees
Here are updated examples of how Reverb fees are calculated for different scenarios:
Scenario 1: Reverb Fees for $100 USD
If you sell an item for $100 USD, your Reverb Selling Fee is 5% of $100, which is $5. Your payment processing fee is calculated on the full order amount (including tax). Your net payout is $100 minus the $5 selling fee and processing fees.
Scenario 2: Reverb Fees for $15,000 CAD
If you sell an item for $15,000 CAD, while 5% would be $750, Reverb caps the fee at $680 CAD. Your payment processing fee is calculated on the full order amount. Your net payout is $15,000 minus the $680 capped fee and processing fees.
Scenario 3: Reverb Fees for €200 EUR (Cross-Border Transaction)
If you sell an item for €200 EUR to a buyer outside the EEA, your Reverb Selling Fee is 5% of €200 (€10). An additional 1% cross-border fee (€2) is applied. Your net payout is €200 minus €10, minus €2, and minus the payment processing fee.
Scenario 4: Reverb Fees for £50 GBP (Currency Conversion)
If you sell an item for £50 GBP but receive your payout in a different currency, a 2.5% currency conversion fee is assessed on the payout subtotal after regular payment processing fees. Your net payout is the converted amount minus all applicable fees.
