What the ITBP recruitment is

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police is an armed police force under the Ministry of Home Affairs, and its recruitment notices cover constable, head constable, sub-inspector, and technical posts. Applications are submitted through the recruitment portal named in each advertisement, and the form asks for a photograph and signature in a fixed digital format. Because the force runs several recruitments in a year, always read the notice attached to the post you are applying for.

Photo and signature preset

The table shows the values stored for ITBP in this tool. They are applied when you select the ITBP preset.

DocumentSizeFormatFile weight
Photograph200 x 230 pxJPEG30 KB to 100 KB
Signature200 x 80 pxJPEG20 KB to 50 KB

These are stored preset values rather than a quotation from the current advertisement. If your notice prints a different size or weight, follow the notice and use the preset only as a guide.

How to resize the two images

  1. Select the ITBP preset in the tool.
  2. Upload a recent front-facing photograph with a plain background and even lighting.
  3. Crop to the 200 x 230 px frame, keeping the head and shoulders inside the box and the face centred.
  4. Upload a signature made in dark ink on white paper, then crop to 200 x 80 px so that no stroke is cut off.
  5. Download the JPEG files and check their dimensions and weight before you attach them to the application.

What makes a usable photograph

The face should be clear, evenly lit, and free of shadows. Avoid a cap, sunglasses, a strong filter, or a background that merges with your clothing. A plain wall and daylight from the front usually give the cleanest result. Keep the image upright and do not rotate it after cropping, because some portals read the file exactly as uploaded.

Signature and file-size tips

Sign on unlined paper with a black or blue pen and let the ink dry before scanning. A faint signature may disappear when the JPEG is compressed, while a very heavy signature can look like a blot. If the file falls below the minimum weight, raise the quality slightly or use a larger clean scan rather than adding noise. If it is above the maximum, crop tighter or lower the quality in small steps.

Limits of this tool

The tool does not verify identity, repair a blurred image, or guarantee that the recruitment portal will accept your file. It also cannot tell you which notice applies to your post. Confirm every requirement in the official advertisement and keep a copy of the uploaded files until the selection process is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Short answers for the questions users ask before trusting the result.

The stored preset is 200 x 230 px, JPEG, between 30 KB and 100 KB. Check the advertisement for your post before uploading.

The stored signature preset is 200 x 80 px in JPEG, between 20 KB and 50 KB.

Yes, if it is sharp, evenly lit, and taken straight on against a plain background. Avoid filters, shadows, and tilted angles.

No. It crops, resizes, converts, and compresses the uploaded image. Take the photo against a plain background instead.

Common reasons are a cut-off stroke, a faint scan, a coloured background, or a file outside the stated weight. Re-sign on white paper and crop the full signature.

No. It is the value stored in the tool. The recruitment advertisement for your cycle is the authority, especially when several ITBP notices are open.
