SWAYAM profile photo and signature files

SWAYAM is a course platform, not a single entrance examination. Course pages and partner institutions can ask for a profile photo, and some enrolment forms also request a signature. This page uses a stored SWAYAM preset to crop and compress those files, but there is no universal SWAYAM upload rule.

Treat the stored numbers as a convenience preset, not as an official requirement. Check the course page or the form you are filling in before uploading.

These are stored values. SWAYAM itself does not publish one photo rule for every course, so the course page or institution is the authority. The preset has not been changed.

Why a single SWAYAM size is unlikely

SWAYAM hosts courses from many universities and national coordinators. A profile photo on one course page may be optional, while a partner institution form may ask for a specific shape and byte limit. A signature may not be required at all. Confirm the upload list before you prepare files.

Preparing a profile photo

Use a recent colour photo with a plain background and a clear face. Crop to the stored shape if the form asks for it. If the course accepts any square or profile image, a simple head-and-shoulders crop is usually easier to read than a full-length photo.

Signature caution

Only prepare a signature if the form asks for one. Sign on white paper with dark ink, photograph it straight on and crop around the strokes. Do not add text or decorations that were not requested.

Before you upload to a course page

Read the course or institution upload field first. It may ask for a profile image, an identity photo or no image at all. If the field accepts only a square photo, do not force the stored portrait shape; use the course crop instead. The stored preset is only a starting point.
