What is Passport Size Photo With Name and Date?

Passport Size Photo With Name and Date is a free browser tool that prints the name and date on a passport size photo on your own photo. Many application forms ask for a photo that carries a printed name and date so the uploaded file matches the hard copy in front of the examiner. This tool does one job only: it stamps clean, readable text on your photo and hands you back a clean file.

What you can set

  • Photo upload from your phone, tablet, or computer.
  • Name field typed exactly as it appears in your official record.
  • Date field for the date of birth or the exam date, in the format printed in your notice.
  • Date separator: dash, slash, colon, or dot.
  • Caption colours: a text colour picker and a background colour picker.
  • Quality slider from 1 to 100, default 94 percent, which keeps small text sharp.
  • Output format, JPG by default, matching what most portals accept.
  • Enable edit image option, to show or hide the crop and edit controls.
  • Face mask guide, an oval inside the crop box for exam-style face positioning.
  • Cloud preview option, with automatic fallback to browser mode when cloud is unavailable.

Crop and edit controls

  • Move and crop modes so a wide photo can be cropped square without guesswork.
  • Zoom in and zoom out until the head fills the frame.
  • Rotate left and rotate right to fix a tilted phone photo.
  • Flip horizontal and flip vertical for a mirrored selfie or an upside-down scan.
  • Reset crop to start again in one click.
  • Face mask guide showing where the head should sit.

How to add the name and date step by step

  1. Upload the photo, starting from the best original you have rather than a compressed screenshot.
  2. If framing needs work, use Move and Crop, Zoom, Rotate, and Flip until the head sits correctly inside the face mask guide.
  3. Reset the crop whenever you are unhappy with the framing, instead of undoing each adjustment.
  4. Type the date in the Date field using the order and digits shown in your notice.
  5. Choose the matching Date separator so the printed line matches the sample.
  6. Type the name in the Name field when your notice shows a name on the photo.
  7. Pick the Text colour and the Background colour so the caption stays readable.
  8. Set the Quality slider around 90 to 95 percent so small letters stay sharp.
  9. Choose the Output format, JPG by default.
  10. Press Process, check the preview, then press Download.
  11. Press Reset to start a second image from scratch.

Where to put the caption

  • Follow the sample image in your notice exactly, for both position and wording.
  • Keep the caption clear of the face and away from the top edge, where cropping can cut it.
  • Print only what the notice asks for; extra words can cause a rejection.
  • Keep the caption to one or two short lines.
  • Use the same date format on the photo, on the form, and in your official record.

Tips for a clean result

  • Use a plain, light background behind the caption.
  • Use a high resolution original; a tiny photo leaves the caption no room.
  • Type the date in the same style as your notice, including leading zeros.
  • Check the preview at full size before downloading; small text errors are easy to miss.
  • Do not add stickers, borders, or filters.
  • Keep the edited copy for your records and leave the original untouched.

Troubleshooting

  • Caption cut off: reset the crop and leave more space below the face.
  • Text blurry: raise the Quality slider and start from a larger original.
  • Caption too small: use a shorter name or date, and a larger photo.
  • Date format rejected: match the sample exactly, including the separator and digit order.
  • File too heavy: lower the Quality slider slightly and keep JPG.
  • Photo mirrored: use Flip horizontal once.
  • Processing slow: turn off the Cloud preview option to use browser mode.

Where this tool is useful

  • Exam and recruitment forms that ask for a photo with the name and date printed on it.
  • Passport and visa applications that want a dated print for a physical submission.
  • College and school admission forms that verify the printed name against the admit card.
  • Job applications where the portal compares the printed caption with your register number.
  • Print submissions where you sign the photo by hand and then add the caption digitally.
  • Reprints of an approved photo when the original caption was typed in the wrong format.

Privacy and limits

  • Your photo is processed for your request so the tool can render the caption and give you the download. No gallery is kept, no account is required, and no email is requested.
  • The tool stamps text on your photo. It does not resize the photo to an official exam dimension, and it does not verify a notification rule. Check the size, format, and file weight yourself after downloading.
  • The caption is drawn in a bold sans serif face. If your notice specifies another font or style, follow the notice.
  • The tool cannot repair a blurred, dark, or old photo.

Short answers for the questions users ask before trusting the result.

It prints the name and date on a passport size photo on your photo. You upload the image, crop it if needed, type the name and date in the format your notice uses, choose the caption colours, set the quality and output format, and download the finished image.

No. The editor lets you move and crop with a zoom slider, rotate left or right, flip horizontally or vertically, reset the crop, and switch on the face mask guide so the head sits inside the oval guide. You can also turn the edit option off and stamp the untouched photo.

The caption is drawn inside the image, and the tool fits the text to the available width. Long names wrap onto more lines, and the text size is reduced only as much as needed so the caption never runs past the photo edge.

Use the exact format printed in your the name and date on a passport size photo notice, for example 01/01/2000 or 01-01-2000. The separator dropdown offers dash, slash, colon, and dot.

Yes. Two colour pickers set the caption text colour and the background behind the caption. Use a dark text on a light background, or the reverse, so the line stays readable after compression.

The tool defaults to JPG at 94 percent, a good balance for an exam upload. Raise or lower the quality slider between 1 and 100 and pick another output format when the portal requires it.

Usually a small original photo, too low a quality value, or a very long date line. Use a larger original, raise the quality, and shorten the text to the format your notice shows.

No. The image is processed for your request so the tool can render the caption and give you the download. No gallery is kept, no account is needed, and no email is requested.

No. The tool runs in your browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS, so you can prepare the photo right before you fill the form.
